Why did we even need to study math in school, I wonder?

Mathematics as 'training for logical thinking' and 'the universal language of the world'

Personally, I’ve always thought of mathematics as 'a workout for logical thinking,' and even if I forget most formulas, the way of thinking is something I keep using when analyzing work and organizing complex information. Also, when you try to delve a bit deeper into topics like AI, statistics, and money, the fundamentals of that math end up quietly acting as 'a common language of the world'.
