Boredom isn't poison—it's a cooldown time for the brain.
I actually think boredom is more like a brain cooldown period, and continuously piling on stimulation is mentally far more toxic, I believe. In the time that looks like nothing is happening, the brain is behind the scenes sorting things out, refreshing, and laying the groundwork for ideas, so to say whether it's good or bad, it feels like moderate boredom is actually essential nourishment.
