I don’t want zero patience; I want to increase the number of times I re-choose.

I don’t mean eliminating patience altogether; I want to increase the number of times I get to re-choose. Rather than living in an era where you can choose anything, I think we’re in an era where you can increase the number of times you “re-choose” even without making sweeping decisions. You don’t have to throw everything away all at once—by protecting your daily life while piling up small experiments and adjustments, you can gradually replace the time you’ve been masking with restraint with “time you chose for yourself.”
