Until I meet the right person, I live as my true self.
During lonely seasons, what supported me was first building a life where I can remain the kind of person I am, and on top of that, letting connections with others grow naturally. Rather than chasing someone to fill a void, devote yourself to skills and habits you can be proud of, and steadily accumulate small, meaningful interactions (taking classes, joining hobby groups, continuing to visit the same cafe). In this way, gradually the world stops feeling like an empty room, and you begin to feel that you truly belong on the stage where you are.
